The host Conception Bay North team handily won both of its round-robin games Friday at the bantam AA provincial baseball championships being staged in Upper Island Cove and Harbour Grace.
CBN opened the tourney with a convincing 16-4 win over Conception Bay South in the opening game of the seven-team event on Friday morning.
The club followed that up with another blowout over Gander, winning by a margin of 13-3.
The team is comprised of players born between 1998 and 1999, and is coached by David Coombs.
The playoff round begins today at 4 p.m., while the championship game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Upper Island Cove.
